Hi everyone,
My name is Amanda Klein, and I am the owner of Structured Solutions Educational Consulting, LLC. I moved to Columbus in 2018 after spending 14 years in Baltimore, MD. I worked there as a teacher, Community School Coordinator (FCE coordinator, essentially), and as a district Engagement Office staff. I started my business in 2015 to help schools, districts, and non-profit organizations learn to use data and evaluation in their engagement work. I especially love working with organizations who are starting out on their data journey. I am excited to be a part of this group so that I can get connected with more people doing great engagement work in my new home state. If you are interested, please check out my company's website (www.structuredsolutionsllc.org), where we just launched a new blog! You can also find me on Twitter - @akleinedu. Looking forward to connecting!

Hi all, I'm the superintendent for Van Wert City Schools. I'm very interested in making better connections with our parents of our children who are struggling in school. The parents we see on a regular basis are not typically the parents we need to develop relationships with. I'd love to hear others' ideas on how to make that happen.

Hello! My name is Michelle Tuite and I am celebrating my 27th year in education. I have a passion for early intervention and focus on the youngest learners. My title is Director of Educational Programs and I just began my 6th year in Tiffin City Schools.
I have experience working with large urban districts (Toledo), rural small town (Elmwood) and now micropolitan/rural (Tiffin). My responsibilities are best outlined as:
- Pre-Kindergarten Director
- Homeless Liaison
- Foster Liaison
- Adjudication Liaison
- Community Liaison
- Family Advocate
With each of these, I have distinct pleasure in working with the people that I cross paths with. We currently have over 70 identified homeless children. I work with families through various resources to find shelter and other basic necessities. I have a close relationship with our community shelter director and am working with a group to fund and build an additional shelter. As the Homeless Liaison, I have the distinct privilege of working with JFS to place any children that need foster placement with educators and employees in our district. These children thrive in the homes of our employees and it strengthens the relationships of the families that release custody. As the community liaison, I work with various organizations, agencies and businesses to impact the lives of children. I organize a summer feeding program, working with restaurants, the Elks and businesses that host the families throughout the week so that they can gather and share a meal. It is very rewarding! Running the Pre-K allows me to meet families at the very beginning of the educational journey. With that in mind, I helped set up Central Registration and a welcome center at the building. This allows me to converse with incoming families on their needs and what their vision is for their children at Tiffin City. It is there that I can get a release signed for additional information or to continue services with various agencies in the community. Of course, running the Pre-K is the absolute best with 150 children who have the best smiles and the greatest hugs! Whenever I feel down or overwhelmed, a few minutes in a classroom clarifies to me exactly why I was chosen for this mission.
I look forward to networking and sharing strategies!
